Missions & Outreach
The purpose of the Missions and Outreach Committee is to inspire the congregation to action through awareness of the spiritual and physical needs of people on a local, national and international level, and to provide primary leadership, direction and encouragement for all areas of mission undertaken and supported by the congregation.
The five mission organizations that are supported are:
CARIBOO HOUSE CHURCHES
They seek to reach the remote areas of the Cariboo-Chilcotin region with the gospel of Christ. There are several churches meeting regularly in homes for times of worship, teaching and fellowship.
CHILDREN ARISE
Arise is dedicated to improving the lives of children-at-risk around the world. They exist to empower children and youth through transformational education enabling them to thrive and influence the future of their nation. Our support goes to the work of Andrew & Terry Banman in Uganda.
ISLAND CRISIS CARE SOCIETY
They seek to be the hands of care on Vancouver Island by providing programs to improve the quality of life for those in need.
MANNA HOMELESS SOCIETY
Manna provides the homeless and the impoverished in the Parksville/Qualicum Beach area with the basic provisions needed for survival.
YOUNG LIFE QUALICUM BEACH
They work with middle and high school students fostering healthy adult mentoring relationships. They provide programs that give students a vision for how they might live healthy and purposeful lives. Young Life helps students to know who God is and how they might relate to Him. Their vision is to see students develop into mature young adults who will deal effectively with the challenges of life.
